Luv Us Mutts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue located in Mission, TX and serving the animals of the Rio Grande Valley. Our mission is to rescue and re-home abandoned, abused, sick, and injured animals from the street and animals on death row in our local high-kill shelters.

We are aiming to reduce the large population of homeless and mistreated animals and assist in finding safe forever homes either in the Valley or through vetted transport groups.

Our president Ashli Garza has been an avid rescuer for more than ten years, taking all her free time to care for animals she found on the street or was given custody of by owners who could not properly care for them after illness or injury. In 2014, she rescued Grace, a dog who had been hit by a car and required extensive care. She reached out to the community for assistance and received support from all over the RGV. This was the informal beginning of Luv Us Mutts, and in 2019, it was officially established as a non-profit animal rescue.
